Recycled-content aluminum coil from an integrated producer.

Sorted scrap (internal and purchased) is cast, rolled, and coated on one site in Aqaba.

At a glance

Recycling

Two furnaces

An in-house cast house remelting internal process scrap and purchased scrap.

Recycled content

Up to about 75%

Achievable on select coated coil, for example a 3105 substrate with a PUPA coating.

Management

ISO 14001

Environmental management system (ISO 14001).

Why recycled aluminum matters

Aluminum is infinitely recyclable: it can be remelted and reused repeatedly without losing its properties, so recycled aluminum is a genuine substitute for primary metal rather than a lower grade. Recycling aluminum also requires a fraction of the energy of producing primary aluminum from ore.

These are general properties of aluminum recycling, not Orbit-specific measurements. Orbit confirms recycled-content data per order; the carbon accounting and any credits remain the buyer's.

Closed loop

Closed-loop model.

No tolling. Scrap stays inside Orbit's quality chain from cast to coated coil.

01

Scrap intake

Internal process scrap plus purchased scrap from local and nearby-region sources: used beverage cans, extrusion, coil and painted scrap, old and new.

02

Sort & shred

Incoming material is shredded, separated and sorted so each melt starts from a known, consistent input.

03

Cast (2 furnaces)

Sorted scrap is remelted in the cast house and cast into slabs. Dross is sold externally; Orbit does not offer tolling.

04

Roll

Slabs are hot- and cold-rolled to your gauge and temper on the same site.

05

Coat

Coil is coated in your chosen system and finish, or supplied mill-finish.

06

Deliver

Coil is packed and shipped from the Port of Aqaba to Europe and North America, and by land to nearby markets.

Because every stage runs under one ISO 14001 environmental system, the recycled content in your coil is traceable to the cast batch. See the full walkthrough in the recycling loop.

For buyers

What this means for your sustainability goals.

Manufacturers and contractors increasingly have to account for the materials they buy. Two pressures drive this: Scope 3 reporting, where purchased materials count toward your own emissions, and the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which puts a cost on the embodied emissions of imported metal. Recycled content is one lever buyers use to respond, because it keeps metal in use without changing how it performs in the product.

Orbit's role is specific. We supply recycled-content coil where the alloy allows, and a batch-level recycled-content figure, confirmed per order and traceable to the cast batch rather than a blanket marketing claim. Because recycling and casting are in-house under an ISO 14001 environmental management system, that figure is something we can document for your records. The emissions accounting, the reporting and any credits remain yours; Orbit supplies the coil, for example our prepainted coil, and the recycled-content documentation for your order.

Recycled content detail

Common questions.

Is aluminum infinitely recyclable?

Yes. Aluminum can be remelted and reused repeatedly without losing its properties, so recycled metal is a genuine substitute for primary metal rather than a lower grade.

What scrap does Orbit accept?

Internal process scrap plus purchased scrap from local and nearby-region sources, including used beverage cans, extrusion, coil and painted scrap, both old (post-consumer) and new (post-industrial).

Does Orbit offer recycled-content coil?

Yes. Recycled content varies by alloy and batch; a confirmed example is a 3105 substrate with a PUPA coating at approximately 75% recycled content. We confirm achievable content per specification.

Can this support our ESG or sustainability reporting?

Yes. We can provide recycled-content figures traceable to the cast batch for your specification, which you can use in your own reporting. We supply data toward your frameworks rather than holding those certifications ourselves.

How does recycled-content coil relate to CBAM or Scope 3?

CBAM puts a cost on the embodied emissions of imported metal, and Scope 3 counts purchased materials toward your own emissions, so buyers face pressure to account for what they purchase. Recycled content is one lever buyers use. Orbit's part is specific: we provide a batch-level recycled-content figure, confirmed per order and traceable to the cast batch. The emissions accounting and any credits remain yours.

Does Orbit offer tolling?

No. Orbit does not offer tolling; scrap is processed into Orbit's own casting and coil production.
