Close-up of a hammered stucco aluminum texture

Stucco-embossed aluminum coil.

Textured aluminum coil with the pattern rolled in, adding stiffness and a matte, scuff-tolerant surface. Available mill-finish or coated.

Product

Applications.

Common in insulation facing, appliance panels, roofing, and cladding, where a non-reflective, scuff-tolerant surface is an advantage. The pattern stiffens thin-gauge coil.

Aluminum embossing press applying a stucco pattern

Texture rolled in.

The pattern is embossed as a controlled, repeatable texture across the coil. Supplied mill-finish or with a coating applied over it.

What stucco embossing does

Embossing rolls a repeating texture into the coil surface.

  • Adds stiffness: the embossed pattern increases the effective rigidity of thin-gauge coil, so a lighter gauge can resist denting and oil-canning that would show on a flat sheet.
  • Hides handling and surface marks: the broken surface disguises minor scratches and fingerprints that would be obvious on a smooth finish, valuable through fabrication, transport and service.
  • Reduces glare: the matte, diffuse surface cuts reflection, which suits architectural and industrial settings.
  • Improves coating and adhesive grip in jacketing and laminating uses.

These properties make stucco-embossed coil standard for insulation jacketing and pipe cladding, where a stiff, scuff-tolerant, non-reflective surface is needed. It is also used in appliance panels, roofing, and decorative work. Available in standard alloys, mill-finish or coated.

Embossed coil questions.

What is stucco-embossed aluminum?

Stucco-embossed aluminum is coil with a regular texture rolled into its surface. The pattern adds stiffness and gives a matte, scuff-tolerant finish that hides minor handling marks.

Can stucco coil be painted or coated?

Yes. Stucco-embossed coil is supplied mill-finish or coated in Orbit's standard systems, with the coating applied over the embossed texture.

What is stucco-embossed aluminum used for?

It is common in insulation jacketing and pipe cladding, appliance panels, roofing and decorative work, wherever a stiff, non-reflective, scuff-tolerant surface is an advantage.

What alloys and thicknesses are available?

Stucco embossing is produced in Orbit's 1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx alloys, from 0.20 to 2.00 mm thick and up to 1650 mm wide (1350 mm where coated). The pattern and gauge are confirmed per order.

What is the minimum order?

The minimum order is 6.5 MT, plus or minus 10 percent.

Quality & compliance

Quality & compliance.

Certified production

Production is certified to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety).

Tested to standard

Coil is checked against ASTM or EN references by market, on tests such as salt spray, UV, T-bend, adhesion, gloss retention and color difference (delta E) for coated products.

Documentation with the batch

Material certificates accompany every batch; test reports and ASTM or EN references are available on request. See quality & certifications.
